Clean technologies in the “District of the future”

Local authorities and companies are placing more and more importance on cleantech products, processes and services in their infrastructure. The Cleantec City event, to be held at the Berne exhibition grounds from 13 to 15 March, will demonstrate market-ready solutions. Above and beyond this, there will also be a specially constructed exhibition area where technologies of the future will be shown that are still in development. In this “District of the future”, visitors will experience technologies up close that could in the near future bring radical change to our lives. Together with other cleantech protagonists, 15 leading Swiss research institutions from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and the universities of applied sciences will gaze into a “green” future where, for example, road-sweeping vehicles will no longer emit any pollutants, where our toilets will produce fertilisers, and where our vegetable patches will be nourished by fish.
